Blizzard will be adding an RP-PVP realm in North America for WoW Classic

The anticipation surrounding the release of Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft Classic continues to build at a breakneck pace within the Warcraft community. Players are gearing up for the game’s release on August 27, 2019 by reminiscing with old guild mates on the newly released classic forums and exploring memories long since past on the Wow Classic beta. Blizzard has been doing everything possible to help prepare players for the impending release. They recently announced that players will be able to reserve their classic names beginning August 12 and the original vanilla servers will be returning.

In an about-face prior to the launch of WoW Classic Kaivax, a Blizzard Community Manager, posted on the WoW Classic forums that due to player feedback they will be making RP-PvP realms available at launch for US and EA players.

“We’ve heard your requests and want to let you know that we will be adding an RP-PVP realm in North America for WoW Classic,” Blizzard says on the official forums (via Icy Veins). “The comments, feedback, and passion from so many of you about this ruleset has been truly inspiring, and we’re happy to make RP-PVP available for you!”

Jordan’s post seemed to imply that North America will only get one RP-PVP server. This is likely because Blizzard isn’t expecting as many players in WoW Classic as there are in regular WoW. That said, having only a single server does mean that all like-minded players will get to play together. Of course, any interested players should be ready to make a reservation for the RP-PVP server when Blizzard opens them up next week.  By the way, you can buy Cheap WOW Classic Mounts from 5mmo.com, where you can enjoy a 3% discount by using the code “5MMO”.

Details on all the servers will be made available “before the weekend.” Name reservation goes live on August 12 at 15:00 PDT / 18:00 EDT / 23:00 BST, so you’ll have a bit of time to make your plans before committing to a name and a server. The proper WoW Classic release date is currently set for August 27.
