Diablo Immortal will brand new story and feature many new things while retaining the predecessor formula

Like any RPG mixed with a pinch of MMO ingredients, Diablo Immortal will be a game of two distinct parts: Those glorious hours where you transform your chosen warrior into a demon-slaying powerhouse, and an endgame portion where you’re constantly on the hunt to make monsters bleed increasingly large numbers of mathematical equations from their heads.

During its first announcement back in 2018, it was met with fierce lash back from the fans as many felt they needed the sequel to Diablo III instead of a mobile entry. “We have a lot planned for the endgame, it’s frankly huge,” Zierhut added.

    You’re going to be spending a long time at max level, collecting legendaries, crafting legendary gems, earning Paragon levels, ranking up your gear, and lots of other game systems with progression and competition on them. It wil be keeping players busy for a long time. Social will be huge. I think I’m most excited by the multiplayer aspects."

It may be a mobile game, but for the most part this is going to be the same Diablo you already know and love, albeit with controls designed to make the most out of a phone touchscreen rather than a mouse or controller.

Built from the ground-up, Diablo Immortal will introduce new abilities and techniques not yet seen in a Diablo game. While six familiar classes will be present (Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Crusader and Wizard – with the Witch Doctor notably absent at this stage), they’ll be able to work together in all new ways.

The game is currently in a “public testing phase” with no release dates were announced. Diablo Immortal will also include in-game voice features and a Battle Pass system to accumulate points gaining levels to unlock various rewards. They are also working on controller support.
